Hosted professional growth training for librarians, “Metaverse and Libraries"

THE HRDer., an XR learning company, has completed a professional development program for librarians, "Metaverse and Libraries," to help accelerate the introduction of Metaverse into the education industry.

The training, held at the Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education's Education Training Center for librarians in Seoul and Gyeonggi Province, lasted about three hours and covered the concept of Metaverse and XR, a Metaverse-enabling technology collectively known as VR, AR, and MR, as well as Metaverse cases, policy and market trends, educational value of Metaverse, and library XR use cases.

The participants of the training spent time gaining new reading experiences and insights through Metaverse experiences such as VR (virtual reality) and AR demonstrations of the XR book 'The Little Prince, Meet Me' released with the company's own Metaverse platform, and it was an opportunity to understand the current cases of AR and VR and the direction to move forward in the Metaverse era.

"The Metaverse, where the boundary between reality and virtuality has disappeared, is emerging as a global trend, and it is meaningful to conduct this training while the field of application of the Metaverse is naturally expanding in education," said Kim Byung-soo, CEO of The HALDER. "I think that education using XR will be even more prominent because it is possible to expand the learning experience through deep immersion." In addition, we received many questions and inquiries about the new reading experience through XR at this training, and it will remain an appropriate application of the Metaverse in the education field through XR."

Meanwhile, the company has launched XR learning platforms 'XR BOOK' and 'XR LIVE' and is steadily increasing the number of adopters, and will soon introduce 'XR VERSE', a Metaverse learning platform that can connect reality and virtuality to strengthen the professionalism of the XR learning business.
