NEWKL(CEO Kim Byung-soo), an edtech company specializing in XR and metaverse learning, announced that it has been selected as a target company for the Korea Electronics and Information Industry Promotion Association's (KEA) future automotive field workforce training XR textbook development service project and is promoting the development of content for eco-friendly automotive field workforce training.
The service project was promoted to understand the core structure of electric vehicles through realistic indirect experience and to improve maintenance capabilities such as identifying live wires, and the corresponding teaching materials, which were developed by Newcle, will be used for basic electric vehicle structure and high-voltage safety education by creating 3D configuration diagrams and perspective diagrams for each E-GMP-based system as XR-based realistic contents so that they can be experienced.
According to NEWKL, which has been in full-scale development since this month, VR content is focused on securing universality by using universal programs that can be developed and maintained in the future, and providing resources for development software that can be upgraded such as expansion, modification, supplementation, and addition during further development.
Through the field usability analysis of the training, it will be composed of contents centered on the basics necessary for learning, such as basic principles, structures, and component assembly situations, and will also include the setting of device specifications with universality through system optimization, optimization tests, and the configuration of matters necessary to build an optimal practice environment.
The company is also focusing on making scenarios and user interfaces more intuitive in consideration of users who are new to HMD (Head mounted Display) devices required for training, and providing a screen that is close to reality through 3D modeling or realistic photography of the overall shape of the car to reproduce the vehicle in the digital twin. Above all, the company explains that it considers practical training using XR teaching materials to enhance the sense of realism and immersion and increase learning effectiveness.
NEWKL is said to be especially optimized for this service project as it has sufficiently accumulated relevant patented technologies and experience know-how in the fields of educational content and LMS using XR and metaverse, and has a variety of implementation results. The company also plans to fully apply the requirements of the Korea Electronics and Information Technology Industry Promotion Association as it made a proposal with confidence in the field for this project, which was promoted through a general competition contract.
NEWKL was also selected as a target company for Incheon Techno Park's 2023 SW Future Fill Instructor Metaverse Competency Enhancement Training Operation Service and the Ministry of Defense's 2023 Realistic Digital Mental Power Training Content Production Project.
